If it's a choice between the two - Zealous. Furious doesn't do enough to be useful even in a pure adrenaline build. Besides, if you're running a pure adrenaline build, you'd also be using "For great justice!" which is all you really need. If your build isn't energy intensive, Zealous isn't of much use, either, but at least it usually provides a ton of energy for when you need it. Otherwise, I'd say Vampiric or an elemental mod if you have a conjure.

Your gear choices should reflect your build. If you're using an adrenaline-heavy build, you might want furious (personally I don't think it's powerful enough to run even then, but that's up to you.) Zealous is a good way to manage energy in an energy-heavy build since swords attack fairly fast, particularly if you're using skills that increase attack speed. Ie., because classes are so flexible in their builds in GW, its hard to suggest a "best" mod for mainline PvE.

Personally I'd recommend Sundering or Vampiric, but again that's up to you.

Zealous is excellent when running a build that inludes "You Move Like A Dwarf!" Or "Finish Him!", or PvE skills in general.

Furious is crap, if you want to pump up your adrenaline, then take FGJ and abuse DSlash. You'll only need Zealous if you're going to spam expensive PvE skills, but I don't think there are that many that would actually be useful. Vamp > Furious & Zealous in PvE.

Personally my most used sword and ax uses zealous. But it depends on the build that you are running. If you have an energy intensive build, use zealous, however if you are all or near all adrenaline and are choosing between the 2 mods, might as well use furious. If you do use zealous, make sure you have another weapon without zealous in the quick weapon slot, so you dont get stranded between fights with low E and only one pip of regen.

Vampiric is probably the best at giving damage, but the degen is kinda annoying, however you can again jsut switch out between fights.

Of the two, Zealous.
I can't think of many times when I need that extra energy though.

This has been bothering me for a while...Let's assume you have 3 weapon sets (put the spear/bow or whatever aside).... zealous, elemental and #1 set and you run Cripslash,Rush and Final thrust. Would furious be worth bringing there? This is just a random example, so without ''OMG WHO'D RUN THAT CRAP'' pls. All the stuff I mentioned reffers to pvp. Also srry for not making a new thread.

Furious basically grants you 1 extra strike of adrenaline every 10 hits...

For weapon mods most will go with the following lineup:

Vamp
Sundering
Zealous
Elemental(matched to a conjure)

None of the other weapon prefixs are worth using.

Id go for a vamp, with an elemental when you not hitting much, but out of the two furious zealous can somtimes drain more than you gain .

I'd say Pain Inverter, Asuran Scan, Great Dwarf Armor, Great Dwarf Weapon, Vanguard Assassin Support, Necrosis, Cry of Pain, Technobabble, I Am The Strongest!, I Am Unstoppable!, and You Move Like A Dwarf! are all considerably > Vamp. And yeah, I've got a zealous weapon on my warrior.

If you need a zealous to use those skills, do you alway use 3 of them on your bar? Even so, aside from asura scan, none of them are spammable. SO there is no need for a zealous unless your whole build is using energy, in which case you would consider a zealous weapon anyway.

Pretty much, yes. Especially You Move Like A Dwarf! (interrupt, knockdown, damage, and cripple all in one) and Assassin Support (decent damage but above all a great decoy: use at beginning of fight and he'll interrupt the enemy's first skill, and then the entire enemy group will waste their biggest spells on him) never leave my skillbar. I don't find Pain Inverter as uber as most seem to, but it's useful against rit and ele bosses.

Necrosis recharges in 2 seconds, unless I'm mistaken, but you're right, my warrior isn't a spellslinger even with PvE skills. However, neither has he got enough energy to use two or three 10 energy skills every ten seconds without using a zealous weapon.

no, furious gives you 1/10th chance of double adren on a given strike

Example - if you have your furious sword, and use enraging charge and "for great justice!", if the furious happens to hit while both these are active you get 12 adren instanty.

(vamp is best tho, sundering is only good vs rangers + squishies.)
